A. Commented Unit, Comment Unit and Formal Interpretations

When a certain word or phrase is explained in commentaries or sub- commentaries, the original expression (called the commented unit) is placed in its explanatory sentence or paragraph (called the comment unit) therein. In Myanmar Pali tradition, interpretations of comment units have evolved into a system. All interpretative techniques discovered in the course of time have been compiled, classified and analysed to result in a separate field of study that has come to be known as အာဘော်သံဝဏ္ဏနာ (Formal Interpretations). They play a vital role in the study of commentaries and sub-commentaries.

A. 被注释单元，注释单元和正式解释

当一个确定的词或者句子被解释在译注或复注里时，原表达(被成为“被注释单元”)被放在解释的句子里或者段落(被称为“注释单元”)中。在缅文巴利语传统里面，注释单元的解释已经演变为一种系统。 随着时间的推移，所有解释的技术都已经被编辑，辨别，分析，形成一个独立的研究领域被称为အာဘော်သံဝဏ္ဏနာ(正式解释)。它们在译注和复注里面扮演着重要的角色。

例： Bhavābhavaṃ gacchati jīvaloko. ——《普端严samantapāsādikā·前言》
Bhavābhavanti aparakālakiriyāya kammaniddeso, bhavato bhavanti attho. Atha vā bhavābhavanti sugatiduggativasena hīnapaṇītavasena ca khuddakaṃ mahantañca bhavanti attho. Vuddhatthopi hi a-kāro dissati‘‘ asekkhā dhammā’’ tiādīsu viya. Tasmā abhavoti mahābhavo vuccati.
